Stuff.

The Candy Land Birthday Cake for Ava was a hit; the kids loved it. Just as I suspected though, the peppermints actually started melting in the humidity & falling off of the cake. We cut into it fast enough though, and after the kids starting picking all the candies off it really didn't matter. Here's a picture of the birthday girl admiring her cake. . . :)

Today I made a lemon yogurt cake, which is soooo delicious! It's covered in a lemon glaze at the end... it's magnificant. I'm going to take some tomorrow when the kids and I go meet my dad at a park for lunch. They don't have school so I thought it would be nice to try to visit with him. He rarely calls & never comes over so I just have to make the best of it all. It will be a sweet visit with the lemon cake & probably the rest of the german cupcakes that were leftover!
