First night in VA!

I've had SO much going on which is why I've not updated this thing. In mid-June, we decided on a whim to make a road trip to Virginia to visit family. Danny, the boys, and I drove up and then he flew back about 3 days later. I stayed on and stayed with mom & Aunt Helen ("Heyl-enn") for about 2 1/2 weeks. During that stay, I visited with my best friend, Shelly, who took me to Bonefish Grill for the first time & also to see the movie Bridesmaids, which was totally funny! P.S. The Bang-Bang shrimp at Bonefish is amazzzzzing! I also met up with another old friend of mine, Stacy, and also had dinner with her & her family one evening. I took the kids to the D.C. Zoo along with one of Danny & my friends, Karin, from back-in-the-day. It was hot & rained a lot. I was also really blessed that the lady we adopted Rebel out to brought him to see us. We hadn't seen Rebel in 6 years. He didn't seem to remember me which made me sad, but he obviously loved Jan (his owner) and had been loved by her. I also got to see my Uncle Danny & his family in Haymarket.

When I decided that it was time for us to go home, I decided to make the drive by myself, which was a first. It was a 17 hour trip. Amazingly and by the Grace of God, I drove 10 1/2 hours the first day with me n' the boys. I really thought about pressing through the next 5-6 hours and just getting home in a day but I didn't think it would be fair to the kids (who did amazingly well) so we stopped in Savannah, GA. It was fantabulous.
